Hey there, this is Art Shimko… the third fraction of the Combat-Hooligans.com congregation and we provide online readers with up-to-the-minute news and analysis on the top news source for combat sports on the web.
Here will be a bit different as we write about our favorite forms on other forms of entertainment (sports, movies, TV, music, etc.) as well as an occasional piece on current events (I’ll keep the politics and religion away from here though).
I was born 8/31/73 in Newark, NJ and lived in Jersey most of my life until I moved to Philadelphia, PA where there were 390 murders that took place in 2007; you would think the streets of Baghdad are much safer. It’s me along with my lovely chick Hanna (together for over 7 years now) and our three cats Bela, Zoe and Kormi.
I am a graphic designer and work for a company that publishes four “alternative newsweeklies” for the surrounding areas. It’s a decent job with moments that offer times to be creative plus I like the people I work with.
The only sport I follow outside of combat sports is NASCAR, Jeff Gordon’s my favorite driver but I also like others such as Tony Stewart, Matt Kenseth, Dale Jr., Denny Hamlin and a couple others. I follow baseball at little bit, the NY Mets were my favorite team as a child.
I listen to all sorts of music except for the current rap bullshit (c’mon people, Public Enemy was the best) and shitty, bass-ridden club music.
